Steps to Perform this Pranayama
  1. Concentrate of your regular flow of breath.
  2. Now slowly lift your right hand, place the index finger and the middle finger at the eyebrow centre and close the right nostril with the thumb.
  3. Inhale and exhale in rapid succession 20 times through the left nostril.
  4. With the 20th breath, switch to the right nostril and complete 20 similar cycles.
  5. Finally, return your hand to the knee.
  6. Relax for a while and get ready for the next round of breathing.
Do’s and Don’ts
  1. Practice all the four levels of Nadi Shodhna Pranayama for three months at least before attempting the Bhastrika Pranayama.
  2. People with cute asthama, heart disease or fever must avoid practicing this pranayama.
