Steps to Perform this Pranayama
  1. Relax the face, the lower jaw and and the lips.
  2. Practice the Jalandhara Bandha.
  3. Contract the glottis and feel the flow of the air in the throat.
  4. While inhaling, mentally repeat the syllable ‘SO’ and continue to feel your breathe.
  5. Now exhale and mentally repeat the syllable ‘HAM’ whilst feeling the flow of breathe through the body.
  6. After a couple of such cycles, practice the Khechari Mudra.
  7. Khechari mudra involves curling the tongue back as far as possible in an attempt to touch the soft palate.
  8. Finally, resume normal breathing.
Do’s and Don’ts
  1. Do not perform this Pranayama on a full stomach.
